I don't think it's angsty. It's creepy and terribly clever and just... wow. I LOVED this. Very supernatural (obviously) and as I read it I just had this weird feeling, which reminded me of when I used to read horror stories in the corner of the library with my friends in third grade. Impending doom, so to speak.
I liked seeing Kaito's mental resignation and the way his relationship with Aoko was brought full circle to the clock tower, it seems that she really just couldn't understand what was happening to him and even seemed unsure and wary about approaching him, what with being glad that Hakuba would go with her.
Fabulous, hon. Definitely one of my favorite things you've written.
