Fandom: Tetris: The quintessential video game! Clear rows using seven different blocks.
Wordcount: 239
Taunt: My fandom takes playing with blocks to a whole new level.
The god was known as the Player, the one who controlled their movements.
They worshipped the Player. They loved the Player. But the Player demanded sacrifice.
Every month, when the moon was at its fullest and the stars were at their brightest, they would go to the sacrificial grounds, known as the Great Pit. The ones to be sacrificed were chosen with great care, and prepared with the greatest reverence. They were cleansed, purified, and made ready. It was an honor to be chosen.
At the Great Pit, there was great celebration and worship of the Player. If the god was appeased, then there was peace and prosperity. If the god was unhappy, then it was Game Over. At the culmination of the ceremony, the sacrifices were then brought to the edge.
And so it was that they were thrown into the Great Pit, one after another, until four rows of them blinked out of existence, to please the Player.
TETRIS.
